Terms of Service

Terms outlined in this document are reiterated on contracts and other agreements, and if necessary, are modified on a per-project basis.

Production work of any type will not begin until an agreement has been drawn up outlining Client requirements and price. Additionally, production cannot begin until a deposit of at least 50% has been submitted and received, as is outlined in the contract.

Any and all work done towards the creative, logistical, and technical aspects of a deliverable are billable. This includes but is not limited to: Conceptualization, Scriptwriting, Storyboarding, Market Research, Transportation Planning & Arrangements, Equipment Purchase &/or Rental, Structural Planning/Purchase/Production, Wage of On-Set personnel, Use of Equipment, Computational Utilization, Additive Manufacturing Runtime & Materials, Location Search & Usage, Physical or Cloud Data Storage Costs, Aerial Photography, Editing/Coloring Time, Motion Graphics, Computer Generated Imagery, Animation, Graphic Design, Vehicle Use, Actor/Performer Wage, Licensing and other miscellaneous expenses.

Quotes given are estimates made upon precedent and reasonable assumptions. Any and all work that goes outside of the original parameters of the quote/estimate/proposal will be reported to the client for evaluation. Photo/Video “Packages” are subject to variability depending on requirements of the deliverable. Expenses/time added on beyond the original factors included In the advertised package are subject to equivalent monetary and temporal rates. ($/item or $/hour)

Cancellations of contracts are subject to pay all expenses incurred + 25% of the remaining value of the contract as cancellation fee.

Late payments are subject to a minimum variable late payment fee of 15%. Late Payments beyond 60 days past the original billing date, which are not agreed upon by Laminar Media, will be reported to the three major credit unions. (Equifax, Experian, & TransUnion) Legal action may be taken to resolve late payment issues, misuse of deliverables (outside of the terms agreed to in the licensing of the product) and any other disputes related to the pre-production, production, post-production, & distribution of a Laminar Media Product.

Unless negotiated otherwise, in all contracts, 50% is paid upfront, every time. 25% upon the delivery of a rough cut. 25% upon final delivery.
